With the NFL Draft just days away, all eyes are on Caleb Williams and the Chicago Bears. The Bears hold the coveted first pick and desperately need a franchise quarterback after trading Justin Fields. Thus, it’s almost certain that top prospect Caleb Williams will land in Chicago. But what about their ninth pick?

The Bears could also give Williams a star receiver to work with, building a potent offense for the future. Top prospects like Malik Nabers, Marvin Harrison Jr., and Rome Odunze are all possibilities. However, other teams like the LA Chargers, Giants, and Cardinals are also eyeing these talented receivers. Meanwhile, recent mock drafts heavily favor Rome Odunze’s landing with the Bears. Odunze has added fuel to the fire, hinting at a potential pairing with Williams.

Odunze eyes Chicago; wants to pair with Caleb Williams

Washington Huskies wide receiver Rome Odunze is an exciting prospect, especially considering a potential pairing with Caleb Williams. The two stars have previously competed in the Pac-12. Odunze recently expressed excitement about seeing Caleb’s talent at the NFL Combine. “To be paired up with him would be something special,” he said after witnessing him.

Odunze’s comments hint at a strong interest in teaming up with the USC quarterback. He’s likely aware of the Bears-Williams connection and hinting that he’d love to be part of that team. Also, following Odunze’s top-30 visit to Chicago, a Bears-Odunze pairing seems even more likely.

Rome Odunze: The next step for the Bears offense

The Chicago Bears are making big moves on their offense ahead of the 2024 NFL Draft. They hosted top quarterback Caleb Williams on Wednesday and followed it up with a top-30 visit for star receiver Rome Odunze on Thursday. Odunze is the best and one of the top three receivers in this upcoming draft. Lately, many experts have predicted Odunze will land with the Bears. With so many teams needing quarterbacks early in the draft, there’s a good chance he’ll be available when Chicago picks. Usually, he’d be the top receiver prospect, but this draft class also has others like Marvin Harrison Jr. and Malik Nabers. However, the competition is quite intense for them.

Even though the Bears signed DJ Moore and Keenan Allen, they shouldn’t pass on Odunze if he’s their ninth pick. Odunze is one of only two receivers (along with Marvin Harrison Jr.) to have at least 2,400 receiving yards and 20 touchdowns over the last two seasons. Imagine the plays he could make with a talented new quarterback. What do you think of the possibility? Share your thoughts below.
