“I improved a horrible situation in a shitty organization, and it’s not hard to do if you have any sort of confidence at all or a name or genuine to yourself,” said JB, “… So the bottom line is, can he (Deion Sanders) sustain it and actually get over the hump and do something in the long run? We haven’t seen him win a championship at any point yet. And it is not absolutely rocket science or putting you as the next Nick Saban if you go in and just win one more game than they won the year before.” While JB is not ready to put Coach Prime as high as Nick Saban, Darnell Smith of Fox Sports vehemently disagreed with Coach JB’s assessment.

Defending Deion Sanders’ coaching track record, Smith argued, “Deion improved every team he’s coached, whether at an HBCU or at Colorado. Has he improved the teams he has coached so far?  Colorado won only one game before he arrived, so there was a significant improvement off the bat. We all watched Colorado last year. When was the last time you watched Colorado play football before last year?” Smith highlighted the immediate improvement at Colorado, where the team won only one game before Sanders’ arrival.
