Deion Sanders will be looking at major changes this off-season with the Colorado Buffs. Ranging right from fresh talent through recruits, to a complete rooster makeover, Sanders is aiming at building a chemistry with the Buffs. The team’s records were quite embarrassing this year, especially as they descended into the season. Now, as they gear up to clash in an all-important game against Utah Utes, it becomes a do-or-die for them owing to their 5-loss streak.

Even though the Buffs already lost their Bowl eligibility this season, despite having some of the finest players across the conference, the fans are standing right behind them to cheer them up for their next game. And Coach Prime, too, wants to stand up to their expectations. So what is it that is acting as a wall between Colorado and the wins? Are those the flaws of the players and the coach, or is it something that any Colorado fan might have vaguely dreamed of in their wildest nightmares?
Are raccoons the reason behind Buffs’ despair?
Before BuffStampedDotCom released their analysis, no one, let alone a Buffs fan, might have thought of a raccoon as the reason behind the team’s despondency. Well, the raccoon curse seems real folks, and it might have just taken over the Buffs. The tale started when a raccoon somehow appeared in the second half of the Colorado vs Stanford. And once the dots are connected, the ‘raccoon curse’ starts seeming real. For instance, Colorado battled it out with Arizona State before Stanford, the last game of the season till this week the Buffs won. After that, they faced Stanford, and things have never seemed to work out in favor of the team as they have lost each game since.
On the other hand, the analyst in the video has his own theory on the sudden appearance of the mammal in the field.
“Raccoons like trash and that second half against Stanford was trash. Maybe that’s why he was there, because of the trash,” said the analyst. “I’m not saying the whole season’s been trash but that second half was.” Even though the comment had fans burst out with laughter, it is not funny for the Colorado Buffs. Will Deion Sanders and Co. break the curse?
Deion Sanders and Co. are even more desperate than fans to break free from the supposed curse. If they emerge victorious against Utah, then the effects of the curse might be overlooked.
