Coach Prime has overpowered every team in the spring transfer portal in the college football landscape. After getting appointed as the Colorado Buffaloes head coach, Deion Sanders was very precise with his vision of revising the roster and eliminating the players that didn’t compliment his vision. Subsequently, Sanders made a few transfers. Now, in the 2024 transfer portal, Sanders made a smart move.
Despite receiving backlash for his approach of transferring players and losing a few promising players, Sanders’ Buffaloes emerge as the top team in terms of index number. Trailing the Buffs, Louisville and Ole Miss are in second and third positions, respectively.

The Buffs had 39 players in, and 44 players exited the team. Among 39 players, the Buffs had four promising rushers, one of whom is Dylan Edwards. A recent video uploaded on the DNVR Sports YouTube channel talks about the smart move Coach Prime has made. Host Andre Simone said, “Colorado finishes No. 1. Thirty-nine transfers in, 44 transfers out. Their index score gives the Buffs a 67, the top three are really in a class of their own. It’s Colorado, Louisville Ole Miss index scores 67, 65, 59.“

Former Buffaloes’ players calling out Coach Prime
Earlier, Xavier Smith revealed Coach Prime had forced him to take a transfer. Following this approach, Deion Sanders was on the radar of the trollers. However, another former CU Buff, Willie Gaines, took a dig at Sanders. He said, “Football is not a sport that can be manipulated. Things have to happen naturally, no matter how green the grass looks on the other side.” Things are not ending for Sanders.
Another former player, Cormani McClain, voiced his opinion on Sanders’ strategy. None of these players admired Sanders’ approach to revamping the roster. However, it’s a subjective matter, after all. Coach Prime is accountable for evolving his team to new heights. And the stats speak for themselves. We value your thoughts on Coach Prime’s approach to the Buffaloes. Please share your insights.
