The 124th Army-Navy clash began with much hype and anticipation as the Army Black Knights and the Navy Midshipmen met this year at Gillette Stadium in Massachusetts. To the dismay of Navy fans, the Midshipmen managed to score only in the 4th quarter of the game. However, they couldn’t catch up with Army’s 17 points as the Black Knights won the Commander-in-Chief’s trophy.
It is a good day for the US military academy having won the coveted trophy and title after a phenomenal showdown, and receiving acknowledgment from the governor of Massachusetts on social media.

Army Black Knights receive a compliment from Maura Healy
After the long-awaited Army-Navy game comes to a close, it is a celebratory moment for the USMA. Following their victory, the Army earned the appreciation and acknowledgment of the 73rd governor of Massachusetts, Maura Healy. The lawyer and politician posted a photo of her with the winners with the caption, “Congrats, Army!“

The latest game between the two armed forces teams was nothing short of exciting as the Black Knights finally ended the game winning over the Midshipmen by 6 points. Although the Navy leads the series with 62-55-7, Army’s last win marks their second straight win over Navy as they won America’s Game 17-11.

Army dominated the 2023 Army-Navy clash
The game began with Army taking the lead from the beginning, scoring their first point with a 7-point touchdown that led to a 10-0 lead over Navy by halftime. The Midshipmen only began to show some action in the fourth quarter scoring 11 points, threatening the Black Knights with an epic comeback. However, Navy missed their comeback chances when they fell short of half a yard from the goal line on 4th down, ultimately yielding to the defeat.
Army QB Bryson Daily accounted for 85 rushing yards while Navy QB Tai Lavatai finished with 74 rushing yards and a touchdown each. Navy leaves the game with a 5-7 record while Army boasts a 6-6 record for the second year in a row as they’re crowned the Army-Navy champions 2023.

After a long wait, the Army-Navy clash has come to an end in favor and against the fans of America’s Game. Following the intense action on the field, the Black Knights won the prestigious Commander-in-Chief’s trophy for the first time since 2020 winning the game 17-11.
