During the Super Bowl LVIII weekend in Las Vegas, the Sanders family made several appearances for interviews and promotional events. While Deion spoke with Rich Eisen, Lil Wayne, and even appeared on the Dan Patrick Show, Shedeur Sanders pulled off a marketing genius for Gatorade.
On his appearance with Overtime, Shedeur opened up about the sacrifices he made growing up. He shared a glimpse of his upbringing to silence the critics who try to pull him down with nepotism critique. “It’s really to inspire others. Because I was that kid, I was at HBCU,” Said Shedeur. “When people say ‘ You cocky’… Nah it’s just I understood what it took to do that,” He further added.

To shrug off nepotism allegations on his family, he said, “I understand the sacrifices you had to make to get in that position because everybody thinks it’s all [shiny] and fun but you don’t understand the cons about it. ‘You just can’t go party, you can’t have fun. You got to stay down, you got to focus.”
