Aaron Rodgers Does Not Believe He Will Be Paid Full $60 Million Guaranteed Upon Returning to Green Bay: “There Would Have to be Some Adjustments”

During their off-season, it seems like the rumors of  Aaron Rodgers are going everywhere. Some have made some trade speculations from as far as five different teams. Other rumors were of the QB retiring from the sport altogether. There has been a slew of rumors going around. However, the ambiguous Rodgers has made things even more confusing for fans after his words on ‘The Pat McAfee Show’.

It seems like Rodgers might have plans to return to Green Bay. However, there might be some detrimental changes to his contract with his return to the Packers.

The interesting relationship between Aaron Rodgers and the Packers

The Green Bay QB has been speaking about what he aims to fulfill further in his NFL career. He has spoken about not wanting to be a part of a rebuild. He has also spoken about winning another MVP. Furthermore, he recently spoke about how his return to Green Bay might be detrimental to him. On The Pat McAfee Show, Rodgers spoke about the salary cap that the NFL has placed on teams and how certain teams are struggling to meet those. He spoke about the impact COVID-19 has had on these teams.

Furthermore, he also hinted at not being paid his full due of $60 million. To indicate this, he said, “they’re creating you know certain kind of void years uh to allow for the uh an easier cap hit so they would you know there would have to be some adjustments for sure yeah.” It would seem like Rodgers already has doubts about a lack of him getting paid what is due to him. In fact, he almost seemed like he resigned over the fact that he might not get paid.

Is Rodgers expecting to get paid less?

From the statement Rodgers has made, it seems like he might be bracing himself to get paid lesser. During the Pat McAfee Show, Rodgers mentioned the unfortunate situation with the salary caps. In terms of this, it might seem like Rodgers might be making his peace with being paid lesser than he was supposed to be paid.

The whole payment hassle seems like another reason for Rodgers to possibly select a different landing spot for the next season. It seems like only time will tell where exactly Rodgers will choose to go for his next season.
