The Baltimore Ravens have secured their place in the playoffs this season with a record of  10-6 this season. While they were in a commanding lead of their division, the side has slowly been slipping away from that early season form. One of the major reasons for that has been the uncertainty revolving around QB Lamar Jackson. After suffering a knee injury against the Denver Broncos on December 4th, the former MVP has now missed 4 straight games. But apparently, he has been passing his time watching another entertaining league.

Lamar Jackson could be on his way out

Jackson is currently in the last year of his contract with the Ravens. The team recently had a 5-year-old $250 million deal by the player. The reports claimed that there was a major disagreement on the amount of guaranteed money on the deal. Jackson reportedly wants a similar package, which the Cleveland Browns offered to Deshaun Watson. Watson is guaranteed around $230 million in the next 5 years. Pursuing a better and more lucrative package, Jackson chose to bet on himself this season.

Currently, the 25-year-old is sidelined due to his knee. While the team is preparing their playoff run in less than two weeks, there hasn’t been any clarity over Jackson’s availability. “I just can’t think about that,” Harbaugh said. “I’m just going to listen to the doctors and to Lamar and we’ll prepare. The offense is not going to change dramatically between Lamar and Tyler.”

Let’s hope that the player soon makes a comeback and shows the league why he deserves the big bucks.
