Baker Mayfield has been through an emotional whirlwind the past couple of months. And the quarterback deserves a break from the headlines. However, his journey from almost being discarded to staging a thrilling comeback has been, at the very least, inspiring. And recently, after a tough loss to Aaron Rodgers’ Packers, the Los Angeles Rams QB went on a special date to ease his nerves.

Former Browns and Panthers signal-caller Baker and his wife Emily Wilkinson Mayfield went on an intimate dinner date just to take the QB’s mind off the 24-12 loss.

The former Heisman winner almost hit rock bottom when the Carolina Panthers put the QB on the waiver list last month. However, Baker Mayfield ended up in Los Angeles and the Rams got a substantial return on their enormous gamble of signing an out-of-form Mayfield. A last-minute touchdown pass to beat the Las Vegas Raiders served as the perfect reply to the haters. But the very next week, things seemed to be back where they were against the Green Bay Packers.

And Emily took over to fix Baker’s mood after the loss. “Last few weeks have been insane. But d— do I appreciate our impromptu date nights when we can squeeze them in,” Emily shared on her Instagram story with a photo of the couple on their date.

And the therapeutic dinner with the wife seemed to do wonders for Baker Mayfield. He came back this week to lead his Rams to a blowout 51-14 win against Russell Wilson‘s Denver Broncos. The couple who got married in 2020 at the Calamigos Ranch in Malibu, California, seems like a good fit for each other. And their relationship is more than that of just understanding. The couple takes the risky way on social media and fans absolutely love them for it. For Halloween, the couple dressed up as a couple of streakers. Hah!
