The Denver Broncos became the most expensive North American sports franchise after being sold for $4.65 billion. In June, the Walton-Penner family ownership group took over the franchise. While it has not been long since the management changed, the fans knew that the owners are serious. The Broncos took a major gamble this offseason by giving up a war chest for Super Bowl winner, Russell Wilson. However, things have only gone downhill since then, and after a 14-51 loss to the Los Angeles Rams, the management has now parted ways with HC Nathaniel Hackett as well.

On Monday, the show dropped for the ownership group of the Denver-based outfit. Following a 4-11 record for the season, the management decided to fire Hackett, who was a first-time HC. Although the firing was not a surprise for anyone, seeing the struggles of the team. The Owner and CEO of the franchise, Greg Penner, has released a statement explaining their decision.

The search for a new coach is ongoing. While there is not a concrete connection or update regarding the subject, a Broncos insider for ‘The Fan 104.3’ has revealed a list filled with big names. The prospective list of new hires includes many experienced and established coaches. For example, Sean Payton, Jim Harbaugh and Dan Quinn. The list also indicates that the management is looking at defensive coordinator Ejiro Evero as a possible candidate as well.
