Could Leo nail the Tom Brady story?

The Football maestro’s success story is well known, but his origin tale is truly unique. While his father had Irish heritage, his mother came from diverse ancestry, including Swedish and German roots. From a young age, TB12 had a fondness for football and regularly attended 49ers games, claiming to be Joe Montana‘s biggest fan. As he grew up, his interest expanded to include baseball and basketball. He was even drafted into baseball in the 90s, but he opted to pursue his true passion.

After spending 22 years in the league, Brady hasn’t only made a name for himself but also etched his name in the history books. From Lombardy trophies to MVP awards, there’s no one who even comes close to the GOAT. And when it comes to portraying one GOAT on screen, another GOAT is undoubtedly desired. There’s a saying in Hollywood that every script first goes to Leonardo Di Caprio, then to someone else. So, who’s better than to play Brady in his biopic that the 7 time Oscar-nominated actor?

There’s Oscar-worthy potential in the story

Biopics and Oscars are two peas in a pod! All throughout cinema history, there’s no shortage of biopics that went ahead to win Oscars. Also, there are thousands of sports-centric movies, not only held close to heart by fans but also went to clinch major awards, including the likes of I, Tonya, and Ford vs Ferrari. This year’s ‘Air’ featuring the story of the NBA legend, Michael Jordan is also a potential fit for an Oscar.

So it basically comes down to a great cast and a great script. Leonardo playing Tom Brady, and his Titanic counterpart Kate Winslet, as Gisele, could certainly turn heads all around the sports and film industry. Both of these Oscar-winning actors, coming back as a pair to the screen, could be life-changing for the viewers. Well, only one could certainly hope so.
