It’s been a month with a day left since Damar Hamlin collapsed on-field during a Buffalo Bills and Cincinnati Bengals regular season fixture. Damar suffered cardiac arrest as a result of that incident and had to be resuscitated with the help of CPR. And Hamlin is now taking steps to give back to the community.
Hamlin launched a CPR awareness initiative and turned it into a challenge when he roped in Tampa Bay Buccaneers quarterback Tom Brady along with several other “G.O.A.T.s“. And the highest cardiology authority in the country backed this Damar initiative, as he doesn’t want his tragic accident to recur anytime soon.

“The Damar Hamlin 3 for Heart challenge is live! 3 easy steps to save a life,“- Damar’s caption said. And the steps are easy indeed. Step one involves going to heart.org/3 and watching a short video about hands-on CPR. The next step is making a donation to the AHA for CPR education and awareness. And the last step is to challenge three friends to do the same.
And seven-time Super Bowl champion Tom Brady shouldn’t find it hard after his NFL season ended early this year. Also, he wasn’t the only one Damar challenged. “To kick things off, I’m challenging the GOATS LeBron James, Tom Brady, and Michelle Obama,” Damar said at the end of the video.
