The Kansas City Chiefs entertained fans with an incredible game against the Los Angeles Chargers. Patrick Mahomes initiated a magical play with only ninety seconds on the clock, resulting in a game-winning touchdown.

Throughout the game, both teams snagged the lead but the Chiefs defeated the Chargers 30-27. Despite this thrilling victory, it wasn’t Mahomes who had the best moment of the night.

The Kansas City Chiefs Twitter account managed to snub not one, but two entities with a single tweet.

The Chiefs tweeted a picture and added no text, apart from an emoji. The picture consisted of the Chargers’ Twitter timeline overlapped with a message, “The account is verified because it’s subscribed to Twitter Blue”

So, what does this indicate? Before Elon Musk took over Twitter, verification checkmarks were given to avoid other users’ impersonation of a public figure or organization. With the rules now changed after Musks’ takeover, any user can purchase a blue checkmark for eight dollars a month.

The Chiefs’ post aimed at downplaying the Chargers’ importance as a franchise. It implied that the Chargers were not verified prior to the rule change and bought their way to relevance.

The Chiefs may have made the dig in a lighthearted tone with an altered image.

In reality, the Chargers were already verified by Twitter. By hovering over the blue checkmark on the Chargers’ Twitter handle, a message proving the same appears.

The message says, “This account is verified because it’s notable in government, news, entertainment, or another designated category.”

This shot at the Chargers garnered reactions from the NFL world.

Fans on Twitter reacted to the Chiefs’ dig at the Chargers with hilarious comments.

This user posted a hilarious picture of Patrick Mahomes holding miniature versions of Derek Carr, Russell Wilson and Justin Herbert.

Another user thinks the Chiefs destroyed the Chargers and reacted with a funny GIF.

With this victory, the Chiefs have extended their record to 8-2. The Chargers, on the other hand, are at 5-5. Patrick Mahomes has led his team to a comfortable top spot in their division and conference. The Chargers, on the other hand, trail the Chiefs in second place in the AFC West.
