Brady himself had a lot of faith in himself as a youngster. When he was drafted as the 199th pick, he had brushed off the kind of criticism he received. Furthermore, his journey has inspired businessman, John Connolly. Connolly is the CEO of the St. Petersburg electronic components distributor NAC Group. He mentioned his love for Tampa Bay sports teams and how he has been incorporating the culture of sports in the office room. The offices within the workplace in his company are filled with rooms named after sports teams of Tampa Bay. Furthermore, he also has an award called the TB-199, named after Brady being the 199th pick. As per the Tampa Bay Times, he explained that the award is for the grittiest worker in his company because they’re comparable to Brady’s spirit.

The CEO explained Brady’s spirit and said, “Every single day, he’s trying to kill you. He doesn’t have to work anymore. He didn’t have to work five years ago. He didn’t have to work 10 years ago. But every year, he figures out a way to be there first, to stay there late, and to continue to figure it out.” It seems like the CEO took inspiration from Brady’s strong resolve and iron will. The mention of Brady’s strength seemed synonymous with Brady’s efforts to come back from his MCL tear.

The iron-hearted Brady

Admittedly, the kind of words the CEO used for Brady seemed to be like the efforts he put in when he recovered from his MCL tear. The quarterback suffered a horrible tear in his MCL before the 2021 season. He went on to spend the whole offseason without getting reconstruction done. However, even after getting a small procedure done to reconstruct it, Brady was able to lead the league with 43 touchdown passes and with 5,316 yards.

With his display of strength, Brady was able to come back and perform better than ever. Furthermore, this remains to be just one example among many of his feats of mental strength and toughness. With his inspiring way of play, it is completely understandable why Connolley uses Brady’s example to motivate his employees. It only remains to be seen how impressive Brady’s after-football career will get in terms of inspiring people.
