The time has arrived for every other team in the NFL to start playing smart and aggressive football because any jitters further would cost them a playoff berth. The Cowboys owner Jerry Jones very well understands this fact and mentioned Sunday’s loss to be a reminder moving forward.

The Cowboys stumbled against the struggling Packers, dragging the game towards overtime and eventually losing 31-28 by the end of the final whistle.

Aaron Rodgers and Co looked like a completely different team, with improved chemistry between the quarterback and the wide receivers. The defense showcased splendid gameplay and intercepted two of the passes from Dak Prescott in the second half, leaving the Cowboys more frustrated.

The highlight of the game was Rodgers rallying 14 points in the final phase of the game and rookie wideout Christian Watson connecting for three touchdowns. The Cowboys’ defense looked helpless and couldn’t stop Rodgers from progressing. Although they maintained momentum in the first half but towards the end crumbled and failed to pull those necessary strings.

While speaking to the reporters after the loss, Jerry Jones expressed his disappointment. At the same time, he lauded Rodgers and the team to have displayed perfect gameplay, arguably one of the best this season.

“They were able to run the ball better. They were able to stop us more. It was a very disappointing loss. We’re rested, and had two weeks off. Everybody was ready to go. Just couldn’t get it done,” Jones said. “It’s very frustrating. We’re healthy. We got our guys out there,” he added.

After this loss, the Cowboys were placed third in the NFC East with six wins and three losses. The loss is going to hurt because their division happens to be a competitive one filled with phenomenal talents, and the Eagles are placed right on the top as a formidable side.
