The Dangerous Russell Wilson persona is one of steel and toughness. But even the toughest of individuals tear up when they lose their closest friends. And back in 2021, Russell Wilson had to endure the loss of close friend and mental health coach, Trevor Moawad. Having met the man during his preparation for the NFL draft, the two would hit it off instantly.

As they would go on to become business partners, and Moawad would mentor the Broncos‘ QB during the length of their friendship, until it came to an end. After almost two years on from the loss of his friend in a tragic battle with cancer. Wilson shares a memory from his archives and remembers his dear friend and business partner on Instagram.

With the eve of his friend’s birthday on the horizon, Russell Wilson would not forget Trevor Moawad after his passing over a year and 10 months ago. His latest Instagram story is evidence that he is still fresh in his memory and will continue to honor him. He posted a picture with his friend on the story on a special day to Wilson and his departed friend.

Wilson posted a story with the friend that he lost to cancer on his IG story on Moawad’s birthday. He would go on to caption the story, “Happy Heavenly Bday Trevor. We Miss and Love you!” It can be safely said that the mental health coach had a significant impact on Wilson. As Wilson has now tried to embody some of his teachings in his own life as he trains for the season ahead.

Moawad and Wilson had been friends for over a decade at the time of his passing. And Trevor Moawad would go on to work with other prospective NFL candidates during his time as a mentality coach. Although he never became a global name like many others have, one of his stories would reach thousands of people after his passing.

On the YouTube Channel, ‘The Outcome’, Trevor Moawad would join the hosts to share a story told to him by his father. Moawad would share that, “The simple fact of the matter is the past is real. Okay? So the only thing that makes it predictive is, if my behavior stays the same.” Moawad would recall the story told to him by his father about a man who became one of the most successful magazine entrepreneurs in the world.

His father told him about the man that he was never serious about his studies but went on to take the SAT. After taking the SAT and earning a score of 1480, he would turn his life around. But 13 years after graduating from an ivy league college and becoming successful in his profession. He would receive a mail from Princeton that corrected his score from 1480 to 740. The entrepreneur changed his life when he started acting like a student who scored 1480.

Russell Wilson and the world lost an influential member who helped many across his life. And the influence he had over the Broncos and former Seattle man still shows how significant of an impact he had on the QB.
