“It’s His Attitude, I’m the Greatest Person On Earth Fake Attitude”: Russell Wilson Missing Another 4th & One Isn’t Sitting Well With NFL Fans

The Denver Broncos vs Indianapolis Colts game on Thursday was a sorry affair. A game that saw no touchdowns, and no eye-catching plays to keep fans entertained. And on top of that, the Broncos’ QB Russell Wilson made error after error, costing his team the game. It did not take long for the fans to make their thoughts known.
Wilson’s performance on Thursday was haywire. Managing only 21/39 for 274 yards, he threw 2 interceptions. Crucially, the last interception comes with just 2 minutes left in the 4th quarter. And on the last play of the game during overtime, Wilson failed to spot a completely open K.J. Hamler and threw the ball to Courtland Sutton, which ended up incomplete.

Thursday’s performance only adds fuel to the fire as the Broncos fail to better their end zone conversion stats, managing only 2 touchdowns in now 5 games.
“We felt like we should have won that game. I felt like I let us down tonight,” Wilson said after the game. “Lot of [the] season left, lot of opportunity. [There is] so much good, but the bad is bad. We should have won that game. It’s on me.”
And it’s not just the QB’s performance that is in question now. Fans have already started taking shots at his “phony” attitude. NFL Network’s Kyle Brandt did not shy away from laying it on Wilson, calling him “one of the least authentic personalities we have in this league” and a “poser.”

Wilson is habitually trying to come up with nicknames and catchphrases. His latest one, ”Broncos Country, Let’s Ride,” makes an appearance after every press conference. And sure enough, he said it after Thursday night’s loss against the Colts.
The poor performance of Russell Wilson opens floodgates for criticism on his attitude
The NFL community seems to be saying, “enough is enough” with Wilson’s antics off and on the field. ‘No Mercy’ seems to be the prevalent theme here, and fans make their brutal and honest opinions known.
I don’t see anything wrong with what Brandt said here. He’s not wrong

It’s his attitude, the I’m the greatest person on earth fake attitude. His former teammates and current don’t seem to like him as a person but that doesn’t matter when you are a great player but now he’s not that anymore

LOL Seattle did pay all LOB, Wagner and the pass rushers until they got old. In 2017, Sherm had torn Achilles, Kam and Avril neck injuries. Thomas after broken leg refused to extend. The D just got old and had injuries. Their downfall was about poor drafting, not paying Wilson

He stinks and is both fake and corny. What exactly is the issue with people calling that out?

Broncos fans just want some good qb play man.
Go through progressions, scramble when needed, throw to the open man no matter what his name is. Get under center in short yardage situations.
No excuses for 9pts vs a team with 1 win .

Hes just an average QB now. The QB level in the league caught up to him and surpassed him. Every gift that made Russell special is now possessed by like 8 QBs and they’re all better at it.

yeah, his performance is no good and he comes across arrogant. His old SEA teamates leakig things about him. I don't see him having fun and smiling with his teamates. I see Tua jumping up and down and players hugging him and coach, etc – big difference

With the fans hot on his heels, Wilson will be itching to prove his haters wrong. And he will definitely be watching Sunday’s game between the Los Angeles Chargers and the Cleveland Browns. The Broncos Week 6 matchup with the Chargers could provide him with the opportunity he needs to pull out a spectacular performance from the days of old. Will Dange-Russ get back to his best form?
