The Buffalo Bills beat the Miami Dolphins on Saturday to walk into their fourth consecutive playoff year. And they didn’t just walk. Josh Allen and Co. slid into it on a cold and snowy night in Buffalo. The thrilling 32-29 finish was decided by a last-second field goal. However, there were a few controversial moments from the game that didn’t leave some NFL fans satisfied.

Right from the first touchdown in the game from Buffalo, the crowd had their celebration packs ready. What was the celebration pack? Snowballs. Bills’ QB Josh Allen threw Quinton Morris his first-ever touchdown pass, and the crowd went nuts as snowballs filled the end zone at one point. However, the NFL authorities had to step in.

The NFL’s social media handles put up posts applauding the snow celebrations. However, during the game, when the Bills Mafia refused to listen, the referees threatened to add 15-yard penalties to the Buffalo Bills every time a snowball was thrown. The league officials asked for the snowball party to be stopped in fear of injuries. And fans found this disparity between online and offline behavior slightly hypocritical.

Miami Dolphins head coach Mike McDaniel had sported a t-shirt on Friday’s practice with a quote that many thought it was an indirect shot at the Bills. “I wish it were colder,” Mike’s shirt said. And Bills fans thought McDaniel had some snowballs coming his way.

Josh Allen put up a performance for the ages against AFC East rivals

Josh Allen played on an MVP level in the snowy conditions of the Highmark Stadium. No.17 threw for 4 touchdowns over 304 passing yards with a 62.5% passing accuracy. This also included the game-winning drive engineered by Allen with seconds left on the clock. Josh Allen tied the game at 29 with a 2-point conversion after a touchdown in leaping fashion using the defensive linemen as hurdles to jump over.

However, some fans think the NFL gives certain preferential treatment to the Buffalo Bills quarterback, and they expressed their dissatisfaction.

Allen also gained significant yardage on foot, running the ball for 77 yards on 10 carries. Dawson Knox, Quinton Morris, James Cook, and Nyheim Hines got on the board with a touchdown each from their star quarterback. This win took the Bills to a 11-3 record after their Week 15 encounter. However, Tua Tagovailoa and the 8-6 Dolphins may have put their playoff chances in a lot of doubt with the New England Patriots and NY Jets catching up with speed.

Next Sunday, Josh and the Bills travel to Soldier Field to face the Chicago Bears. However, they can expect more weather-adverse playing conditions there. After that, the Bills wrap up the regular season with the Bengals and the Patriots.
