Matthew Stafford had his redemption, winning his first Super Bowl win of his career after 13 years in the league. Though he won his title in his first visit to the big game, many are still worried about his future Hall of Fame induction. 

Stafford has shown exceptional skills and composure throughout the year, not to mention in the Super Bowl as well. His impressive collaboration with star athletes was one reason for his success, and his calm demeanor has been commendable. Stafford, after winning the Super Bowl in his first campaign with the Los Angeles Rams proved he was just not suited for Detroit.

Even after spending 12 years with the Lions, he never won a playoff game. But the 34-year-old got to show off his abilities after getting together with players of similar caliber and potential. 

Matthew Stafford questioned for his future HoF status

Stafford was criticized throughout the season. And now that he has won the Super Bowl, criticism looms on his future Hall of Fame induction. Frustrated by this debate, the quarterback’s wife put an Instagram Story defending her husband from the unsatisfied critics.

Even legendary Super Bowl-winning QB Kurt Warner rose against the fans with critical comments. “People why are we having a #MatthewStafford to the HOF debate today?? Let our brother enjoy this incredible moment & let’s talk about his critical plays in playoffs/SB to get that ring!! (Then we can revisit all this when he retires – he ain’t anywhere close to done yet)!!” he tweeted.

The veteran quarterback has earned his moment. Winning a Super Bowl is no cakewalk. As far as the Hall of Fame is concerned, there is still plenty of time for Stafford to prove his worth. And judging by his playoff form, he has a long way to go before retirement.
