Ahead of the game, Jackson Mahomes shared a heartfelt message on his Instagram stories. Along with a picture of himself and his older brother Patrick Mahomes smiling eye to eye, the 23-year-old shared the message, “Happy birthday p! Love you bro bro!”

In May this year, Jackson Mahomes was hit with felony charges. The preliminary hearing in the case, scheduled to be held earlier, was pushed back on account of the presiding officer of the court coming down with a COVID-19 infection.

After pleading not guilty to the charges against him, Jackson Mahomes was set free on a $1000,000 bond and therefore, was able to attend Patrick Mahomes’ game on the quarterback’s special day. Till now, Patrick Mahomes has been largely silent about his younger brother’s upcoming hearing, which is scheduled for October 24, barring one comment when repeatedly asked about the issue.

According to a Tweet posted by the account MLF Football, when asked about his brother’s ongoing legal battle, Patrick Mahomes branded it as a ‘personal thing’. The star quarterback further stated that he wanted to keep it to himself and concentrate on football instead. Only time will tell whether the Mahomes family will fare through these difficult times in one piece or not. However, till then, they present a united front with Jackson Mahomes cheering for his NFL star brother from the sidelines.
