Mac Jones Accomplishes a Tremendous Feat With New England Patriots That Even Tom Brady Couldn’t

During the Week 10 matchup between the New England Patriots and the Cleveland Browns, Mac Jones touched a mark with the franchise that even Tom Brady couldn’t during his 20 years with them. As the Mac Jones led Patriots destroyed the OBJ-less Browns 45-7 on Sunday at Foxborough, it was the second consecutive home win for the Patriots.
Before this, the Patriots has thrashed the Jets 54-13 in week 7. However, these consecutive home wins are not ordinary, as they mark the team’s first-ever consecutive home win with 45 or above points in each. This has led to some serious comparisons between the rookie, who hasn’t even completed a year with the team, and the NFL icon and GOAT Tom Brady.

The Patriots, after beating the Jets, have been on the road for the next two game weeks. However, they returned to Foxborough just to thrash the Browns and seal a franchise record in a classy way.
The Patriots quarterback has been in tremendous form lately, as he has been on a winning spree for the past four weeks. However, Jones does not claim the Week 10 victory all by himself. He did it in the most Patriot way possible, which is by giving the rest of the team their due credit.

Mac Jones gives the Patriots their due credit
“Overall, great team win and that’s how you want to play the game of football,” Jones said. “I think it starts with the offensive line, they deserve all the credit in the world. We did hear a lot about obviously Cleveland’s front and they have a good front and we have a really good offensive line, and I’m proud of them.”

“And then obviously everyone making the plays that they were supposed to make. They did a great job, and that’s what happens when you play football like that. You score a lot of points and it becomes way more fun and you’re scoring touchdowns and the defense is going out, they are getting stops. Special teams are making their plays, so it’s just a three-level game and when we click on all cylinders, we can be pretty good.”
Mac Jones doesn’t look anything like a rookie. What he looks almost exactly like, actually, is a young Tom Brady. #Pats
