The Indianapolis Colts were going strong until the QB’s curse fell on them. Matt Ryan and his team blew a 33-0 lead against the Minnesota Vikings. The game marked the Colts at the receiving end of the largest comeback win in the history of the league. This is the second time the veteran shot-caller suffered a brutal and the most historic loss. The first time was his 28-3 loss against Tom Brady and the New England Patriots in Super Bowl LI.

It looked like Indianapolis would have won the game if they had exploited their rivals in overtime. However, Minnesota was successful in scoring in the second half. They ran with the ball down the field in the final 90 seconds and kicked a game-winning field goal. The Vikings made an iconic comeback of 39-36.

Fans berate and blame Matt Ryan for the Colts’ failure

The 37-year-old quarterback is the easy scapegoat for many because he’s now part of two heavy losses the franchise has suffered. His loss against the Patriots (Ryan was a Falcon then) has been a joke that has followed him all his life.

It should be highlighted that Matty Ice is one of the most accomplished players in the league even if the team lost to the Vikings. Moreover, he ranks among the NFL quarterbacks with the most passing yards, passing touchdowns, and passes completed.

After retiring, the quarterback may even start discussions about getting inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame. His reputation, though, will always be tarnished because he dropped two games in the most humiliating way.
