The 2022 NFL season has been tough on Zach Wilson. The New York Jets’ QB faced severe criticism since the season began. Head coach Mike Saleh even benched him in favor of backup Mike White. But he got his chance against the Detroit Lions in Week 15. He went and grabbed it with both his hands. Wilson returned as the Jets starting QB in Week 15 after White suffered a rib injury in the Week 14 loss to the Buffalo Bills.

Zach Wilson started a game in the NFL since the Week 10 defeat against the New England Patriots. And in the matchup against the Lions, Wilson showcased what the Jets have missed by benching their QB1. Wilson teamed up with tight end CJ Uzomah for an electric 40-yard touchdown pass in the second quarter of the game. What a play it was.

The play was enough for fans of Wilson to erupt on social media. A fan said that the Jets backup QB Mike White will not be able to make such a play.
