Aaron Rodgers isn’t the only Packers legend walking away from Green Bay. The off-season has been a detrimental period for the Packers to wave goodbye to veteran players such as Allen Lazard, Randall Cobb, and of course Aaron Rodgers. The Jets have been the landing destination for all three of these Packers’ legends, and maybe another one is set to follow.

Mason Crosby’s tenure with the Green Bay franchise has been an illustrious one. Despite coming up as the Packers’ all-time leading scorer, Crosby’s immediate future looks somewhat uncertain with newer faces coming in and statements being redacted.

A Tale of two wives

The Jonathan Owens saga with the Houston Texans has officially reached its conclusion. The former Texans starting safety is now a Green Bay Packer and no one is as elated as his wife and legendary gymnast, Simone Biles. Biles took to Twitter to congratulate her husband and wish him the best for the next chapter of his NFL journey.

Biles’ post was noticed by another NFL wife, Molly Crosby, wife of Mason Crosby. Mrs. Crosby responded to Simone Biles, giving her a breakdown of what life in Green Bay entails.

Sad we will miss you, we just ended a 16-year run with the team…that being said…I’ve got some stuff I need to share with you. A little city with a big heart and some AMAZING stores and restaurants. We loved our time there and so will you! Let’s talk coats, boots, custom packer gear…” she Tweeted at Biles.

However, Molly Crosby later deleted her response to Biles.

The fact that she claimed that Mason’s 16-year run at Green Bay has come to an end raised many eyebrows, as neither Crosby nor the Packers have made any official announcements. Earlier the Packers GM, Brian Gutekunst alluded the franchise would always keep their doors open for Crosby, but even those claims seem to be dying down. With Molly Crosby’s since deleted Tweet, there is reason to believe that Mason Crosby might have to look for a new landing spot, and maybe Aaron Rodgers would rescue one of his former teammates again.

The glue guys

Prior to his departure from the Packers, Aaron Rodgers was asked if his decision would be influenced by the Packers’ treatment of his fellow teammates.

At the time Rodgers replied, “That’s part of it. It definitely is part of it. ‘Big Dog,’ who knows what he’s going to be thinking? Obviously, Randall, Mason Crosby, Dave — a lot of guys I played a lot of football with over the years.

Since then Randall Cobb has been the only guy recruited by the Jets, while Crosby joins longtime Packers Marcedes Lewis and Adrian Amos in free agency. Rodgers described Randall Cobbs and the David Bakhtiaris of the world as the glue guys for the team and expressed his desire to have them in the Jets’ locker room as well.

With speculations around Crosby and his future taking a rather ugly turn, there is a good chance that maybe the Jets will pick up him, or so Molly Crosby hopes.
