“Never Know What You Got Until It’s Gone”: Baker Mayfield Sits Comfortably in the Leverage Chair as Cleveland Browns Struggle to Keep Boat Afloat

The Cleveland Browns-Baker Mayfield drama now has a sudden change of tide. The franchise might regret pulling in Deshaun Watson as the QB1. As the situation continues to spin, multiple analysts believe Mayfield has more momentum, and things can come in his favor. Furthermore, Emmanuel Acho makes his comments known about the dynamic situation on the rise.
The debate began after Robert Griffin III made a striking claim on The Rich Eisen Show. RG3 says that the Browns need to beg Baker and make things right to get him to stay. However, Mayfield wants out of Cleveland. Even the Watson situation seems to have no end for now. But QB Mayfield has some power that he could make use of.

Emmanuel Acho and Marcellus Wiley react to RG3’s ‘beg‘ statement over the Browns drama in the ‘Speak for Yourself’ Show on FS1. The former NFL QB is loving every moment with Baker Mayfield. The Cleveland Browns might temporarily lose Watson and cannot rely on Jacoby Brissett. Baker is now the only option for them.
Acho mentions, “So now, Deshaun Watson, as we know, is going to be faced with some level of suspension, anywhere from two games, eight games, or the entirety of the season. So what does that mean for the Browns, who need a starting quarterback? Jacoby Brissett is not it. So you are left with Baker Mayfield. Baker has all the leverage. As Baker realizes, the Cleveland Browns have significantly more to lose than Baker Mayfield, and as the Browns will very quickly realize, you never know what you’ve got until it’s gone.”

Marcellus Wiley has opposing thoughts about the Baker Mayfield drama
Further, Marcellus Wiley provides contrary views on the entire saga during the show. Wiley believes the Cleveland Browns considered it and were ready for any future claims Deshaun might face. They then gave him a contract that was fully guaranteed. Jacoby Brissett could step in even if they suspended the franchise’s QB1. The former NFL DE believes he is an excellent fallback. Furthermore, if one looks closely, Brissett and Mayfield are nearly identical characters.
