Dallas Cowboys star defensive linebacker Micah Parsons has always been vocal about his personal opinions. Especially about the state of officiating currently in the NFL. And Micah has gone into Twitter-battle mode with the officiating regulators with his latest dig on the social media platform.

However, this might not be the best time to get on the bad books of the officials considering their upcoming wildcard bout against the NFC South champions, Tampa Bay Buccaneers. And Cowboys nation did not appreciate Parsons’ loud-mouthed nature ahead of facing seven-time Super Bowl champion Tom Brady.

Micah Parsons has a reason to be mad at the officiating this year

Much of Micah’s frustrations stem from the controversial ruling by the referees during the thrilling playoff duel between the LA Chargers and the Jacksonville Jaguars. Trevor Lawrence and the Jags came back from a 27-point deficit to stage the NFL’s third-largest playoff comeback and won 31-30 in nail-biting fashion. However, Chargers fans and players felt robbed after a clear false start penalty ruling went against them. Ultimately, this led to the Jaguars converting 2 points in the game that ended up being decided by a single point.

Micah Parsons didn’t stay mum and fearlessly expressed his views on Twitter. “I’m glad everyone sees how bad officiating is this year! I don’t care what I say anymore, it’s not like I’m gonna a get a call,” the 2021 Defensive Rookie of the Year tweeted.

Some fans applauded Parsons for speaking out. However, the majority didn’t want Micah’s complaining to come in the way of a much-awaited Dallas Super Bowl. Also, next up is Brady.

Micah’s reasons for frustration may have its root elsewhere

23-year-old Parsons will have the added lucky charm on his side when he faces TB12 and Co tonight. Micah welcomed his 7.1 ounces newborn daughter into the world. Also, Micah made the AP All-Pro team again. However, it’s not all roses and sunshine for Micah, as he didn’t make the NFL Players Association All-Pro list. And even though some of his anger is related to his omission, the NFL officiating’s lack of consistency is a genuine issue.

Also, this wasn’t the only time the NFL officiating has come under scrutiny in the past few weeks. The Seattle Seahawks and LA Rams Week 18 matchup saw some controversial calls from the refs.

Moreover, this ultimately led to the Seahawks qualifying and the Lions not making it, despite beating the Green Bay Packers. DK Metcalf’s mask-pulling, and the overlooked pass interference, it all added up for Micah.

Micah can shut the naysayers up with a dominating show against Brady. Also, Parsons has already promised to ditch the Pro Bowl skills day for a Super Bowl appearance. However, it won’t be that easy going up against Mr Playoff himself. Besides, Tom Brady has a spotless 7-0 record against the Cowboys. And Micah needs to shake off the Twitter fever to turn the tables on Sunday.
