Colin Kaepernick has been everywhere around the NFL, trying to prove his athletic abilities and skills. He has put on a full display of his throwing abilities, his footwork, connection, read and still there are no NFL teams who are willing to give Kap a chance. Recently, Michael Vick, somebody who understands resurrections as well as they do football, came out in support of Kap’s QB skills. 

In a small video on YouTube, uploaded by “I AM ATHLETE,” Michael Vick talks about his experience playing with the former 49ers QB. He says that all of Kap’s fundamentals are in place. And the one thing he can say for sure is, “Kap Ready.” 

And when someone like Michael Vick, famously regarded as one of the deadliest dual-threat QBs says that, it holds immense value. Although, we have seen that in Colin Kaepernick’s case, even the best endorsements have gone without creating an impact. The media does pick it up, but it has not translated into an NFL job for the former 49ers QB. 

Will This Endorsement Help Colin Kaepernick?

But still, Colin Kaepernick continues to put himself out there and test out the waters. He is a thorough professional even though the NFL world will not accept it. Michael Vick did accept it after playing around a little with Kap. Vick exclaimed, “(Kap) is throwing the ball well, reading well, taking good decisions, everything is good with his footwork and he’s looking like a professional Quarterback. So there were a lot of young kids out here, and I was telling them, ‘Don’t just watch the things that I’m doing, watch what he doing.’ And this is what I’m telling y’all, he validated it on the field.”

Such a high commendation from a player as skilled and talented as Michael Vick. And yet, we won’t see many front offices lining up to hire Kap. There could be a plethora of reasons for the way front offices are currently reacting to the situation. But skepticism creeps in when fans see just how many teams require a QB and are willing to settle for just about anyone but Kap. The way his situation has progressed might not have the best effect on players. 

Players might think it is better to stay quiet, get your money, keep your job. Standing up for moral and social issues is much more accepted today than it was before, but still not universal. So what happens to you once you’ve taken a stand is still very much ambiguous. 

Hopefully, Colin Kaepernick finds himself a new role in the NFL. Apparently, he has even agreed to take on a back up role if that helps. But it doesn’t look like even that would be a possibility for him. Except for a front office going against the grain. If the choose to bet on Colin Kaepernick, undoubtedly one of the most controversial stories in all of modern NFL.
