Shaquille O’Neal Admits He’s Not Backing Cincinnati Bengals to Win the Super Bowl: “I’ll Go For the Rams Because of My Connection With Odell Beckham Jr”

For the past few days, Shaq hasn’t been able to hold his tongue regarding Joe Burrow. The Laker legend has praised his LSU alum plenty. Yet, when it comes to showing the same support for Burrow’s team in the Super Bowl, his connection with another LSU alum, Odell Beckham Jr, overpowers.

On his podcast show, “The Big Podcast with Shaq,” Shaq revealed that he is not backing Joe Burrow’s Cincinnati Bengals to win the Super Bowl. “If any of, one or two persons from your alma mater represents in a Super Bowl, you can vote for them and not the team,” Shaq said hilariously.

O’Neal said during the podcast, “It doesn’t matter to me who wins. I’m not going for the Cincinnati…… I’ll go for the Rams because of my connection with Odell Beckham Jr.” He finally said, “I’m happy that two fellas from my alumni, of my alma mater LSU, is in the game……. I just wish them both well.”

Why did Shaq choose Odell Beckham Jr over Joe Burrow?

During his podcast, Shaq said that he doesn’t care which team wins the Super Bowl. In addition, he expressed his delight for his two LSU alumni who will compete against each other in the Super Bowl.

However, he also mentioned that if he were to choose a team, he would go with the LA Rams because of his relations with Odell Beckham Jr.

In addition to being an LSU alumnus, OBJ has a long history with Shaq. OBJ’s father and the Big Shaq were roommates at LSU. Shaq played basketball at LSU during the same time as Odell’s father played football.

Additionally, Odell’s mother was also a track athlete at LSU. Therefore, O’Neal preferred his relationship with Odell and said he would support the Los Angeles Rams to win the Super Bowl.

The Cincinnati Bengals will host the Los Angeles Rams at SoFi Stadium for the biggest football game of the year. The outcome of the game cannot be predicted, however, there is no doubt that an LSU alumnus will be crowned a Super Bowl champion.
