Lamar Jackson is the pivot around which the Baltimore Ravens offense operates. He has been the catalyst of the great season coming the way of the franchise. But what if the Ravens have to get on with it without Jackson for a few weeks? If recent reports about his injury hold true, Jackson might be facing a Christmas crisis.

The Ravens QB is on the doubtful list for the week 14 matchup against divisional rivals Pittsburgh Steelers on Sunday. While Jackson is almost certain to miss out on the game due to his injury, he might definitely be out for next week’s clash with the Cleveland Browns. Jackson picked up the injury during the team’s Week 13 clash against the Denver Broncos. He left the game in the first quarter and his absence was felt in the way the team performed. Although they got the win, it didn’t look like the Baltimore offense the fans have grown accustomed to.

The latest crisis comes just two weeks after Jackson courted controversy over a tweet after a loss to the Jacksonville Jaguars.

The tweet issue

After the Week 12 loss to the Jaguars, Lamar Jackson replied to a tweet by a fan who urged the Ravens to not give the QB a big-money extension. Fresh off the loss, Jackson went off the rails a little with a graphic reply.

“Boy STFU y’all be cappin too much on this app mf never smelt a football field,” he said … before ending the tweet with, “never did s*** but eat a d***,” Jackson wrote in a now-deleted tweet.

The injury added to Jackson’s frustration just days after the apology. Now missing out on important games will certainly not make the Ravens QB happy. Can he make a quick comeback and lead his team to the playoffs?
