Quite possibly the most notorious player in the NFL right now, Antonio Brown has yet again outdone himself. The free agent WR, who was kicked from the Tampa Bay Buccaneers last season after a mid-game meltdown, was caught exposing himself to guests in a pool, at a hotel in Dubai. And he is also accused of stealing jewelry worth $120,000. His antics do not seem to bode well for the image of a certain friend and NFL legend: Tom Brady.

While talking on his show ‘Fearless’ Jason Whitlock brought up Brown, and how he cannot fathom that Brady would let him stay at his place, around his wife and kids.

“My first thoughts when I was reading that story, I was like Tom Brady invited this dude into his house! That’s how bad he wanted to win and I was like his wife, his kids lived there!….”

Brown used to be a habitual bunker at the Brady Household. Even when Brown signed with the New England Patriots, he lived with Brady at his Massachusetts mansion. And once again when Brown came down to Tampa Bay.

“Antonio is a good friend of mine and again, we’ve gotten to know each other pretty well over the years,” Brady revealed in 2020. “He’s just getting settled and I know he’s looking for places, but it’s just nice to be able to have him around. Again, just trying to be a great teammate and help someone out who is a friend of mine.”

But a friend turned into a foe far too quickly, when the Bucs released Brown after he stripped his shirt and pads off, and walked off the pitch during a game against the New York Jets. His initial focus was only on battering the Bucs head coach Bruce Arians, but he took a shot at Brady too.

Whitlock speaks all too plainly about his feelings, talking about how these incidents look bad for Brady.

“Tom Brady wanted to win so bad that he invited the biggest idiot in the NFL into his home…. Like ethics, morality, none of it matters! It’s a bad look for Tom Brady….With men, we have no sacred honor…. to get material success, to have Career Success, there’s no line we won’t cross. ‘Oh, we got to get in bed with Antonio Brown, invite him into our home around our wife and kids?’ we’ll do that… if O. J. Simpson could still run the football, we’ll bring him on the team”

Brown is reportedly trying to get back into the NFL, but there seem to be no teams interested in taking him in. His stellar first few years with the Pittsburgh Steelers are a testament to his skill and talent. But the fact that he cannot, or will not, keep himself from being embroiled in controversies has more or less ended his chances in the NFL. Is there still a chance for salvation for Brown?
