The NFL has fined Buffalo Bills wide receiver Stefon Diggs $10,609 for unsportsmanlike conduct. The 28-year-old from Maryland caught the eye of the storm for taunting LA Rams star Jalen Ramsey in the week one clash. The players’ association and the league decide the amount of the fine.

The taunting incident did not go well with the authorities and hence they imposed a hefty fine on the experienced WR. He was awarded the penalty just two days after he unveiled his new debit card collection on Twitter. The timing of the punishment and the tweet has marked an interesting coincidence for the wide receiver.

Why Stefon Diggs received support from the Bills?

The incident occurred after Diggs caught a 53-yard touchdown pass in the fourth quarter of the game against LA. Meanwhile, Ramsey also has a troubled relationship with the Bills. He called the Bills QB “trash” in an interview and it caused an uproar in the team.

 Five players, including Diggs, are fined for unsportsmanlike conduct in Week 1. However, the Bills WR performed well during the matchup, with eight passes for 122 yards and one touchdown. A proven star, Diggs has posted at least 1,000 receiving yards. The 28-year-old has been with the Bills since 2020. He started his career with the Vikings, who selected the talented player during the 2015 draft round. In his career, he earned two Pro Bowl selections and was also an All-Pro selection in his first two seasons with the franchise.

Stefon Diggs sounded confident while speaking ahead of the NFL about his team’s chances in the new season. He expressed confidence that Buffalo is approaching the new season with fresh hopes. The talented star promised fans that they will perform to their best in 2022.
