After winning against the Vikings this Sunday, the Packers have certainly opened their door to the playoffs. Now, they just need to beat the Lions on their final match-day to qualify for the postseason. On the other hand, renowned sports analyst Colin Cowherd predicted a sensational trade for the Packers’ quarterback, Aaron Rodgers, during the 2023 off-season. During the recent episode of the podcast show, ‘The Herd’, Cowherd named a surprising franchise that could trade for Rodgers.

It is worth noting that Rodgers extended with the Packers for three years in the 2022 off-season and he will earn around $150 million during those years. However, Rodgers’ situation changed with the Packers’ board during their losing run earlier this season. Although the Packers are in line for a playoff run, the Packers could still look to trade him during this offseason.

Colin Cowherd suggests a likely destination for Aaron Rodgers after the 2022 season

While talking to co-host Jason McIntyre on his show, Cowherd said, Green Bay moves off Aaron Rodgers, gets two first-round picks, plays Jordan Love, he goes to Tennessee. Vrabel, Burrow, Allen, Lamar, Mahomes, Herbert — you can’t do it with Tannehill. He swings big; Mike Vrabel now makes the calls in that organization. He goes and gets Aaron Rodgers. First-round pick this year, a second next year. Big swings in the AFC.

Notably, the Titans are on a terrible run in their last 6 games, losing all of them. As mentioned by Cowherd, The Titans’ head coach, Mike Vrabel is calling the shots now and could move on from QB Ryan Tannehill. Moreover, Vrabel decided to start Joshua Dobbs in the last game against the Cowboys after seemingly giving up on their 2022 third-round pick, Malik Willis.

Willis has been terrible this season; in three starts, he recorded 3 interceptions and 0 passing touchdowns. Cowherd’s prediction could become a reality if the Titans’ head coach decides to move for Rodgers. However, it will ultimately depend on the Packers’ season this year and Rodgers’ performances, as he possibly hinted about playing his last game for the Packers this Sunday.

Speaking about performance, Rodgers has been pretty great in the last 4 games; he helped the team to win 4 out of their last five games. As mentioned earlier, the Packers just need to beat the Lions this Sunday to qualify for the playoffs. Earlier this season, the Lions beat them, and they will come to Lambeau Field to face the packers in a must-win game for them as well.

If the Packers win against the Lions, they will most probably get the no.7 or the no.8 seed in the NFC division. In that case, they could face the Eagles or the 49ers in the first round, which will be a tough match-up for them. However, Rodgers has a great record in the playoffs and every Packers fan is hoping to see a different Rodgers if they reach the postseason.
