The New England Patriots are looking at yet another season without a trip to the playoffs. While the 6 time Super Bowl champions remain on the cusp of a postseason entry, they have made things harder for themselves. On Sunday, the Boston-based outfit played the Las Vegas Raiders in Week 15 of the league. After a close encounter, it looked like the Pats would come away with the win. However, that is not what happened. Not only did they lose, but they also did so with a play that would be highlighted for years to come. Consequently, leaving Patriots’ fans standing there in shocking disappointment. Just ask Julian Edelman.

The last few seconds of the matchup must have not been easy for the visiting fans in Las Vegas. Among the many in attendance for the game, former Patriot and 3 times Super Bowl champion Julian Edelman were also present. Even for the retired WR, the ending was a bit too much to soak in. Since this morning, he has even gone viral with his public outburst in the stands.

The former NFL star looked both shocked and angry at what happened in front of the fans. After losing the match, he only asked one question, “What the f**k are we doing? What are we doing?” The star then proceeded to throw his hat onto the couch. While we can question the authenticity of the outrage, no one can deny that Edelman caught the emotions of the Pats’ fans.

Patriots blow another game, and this time it will be remembered

With only a little over 2 minutes remaining, New England was in the lead with the score being 24-17. But in spite of the unlikeliness of the task at hand, Derek Carr and the offense somehow managed to breach the opposition’s red zone. They leveled the scores, with only 30 seconds remaining on the clock. While it could have been enough to enter the field goal range and try to end the game, the Patriots had another plan. On the last play of the game, which started at the Patriots’ 46 yards line, RB Stevenson decided to hand off the ball to Jakobi Meyers instead of going down and take the game to OT. With the regulation time already over, Meyers threw a haphazard lateral which got picked by Chandler Jones for a Raiders TD.
