The Minnesota Vikings look set to make the playoffs after missing out for two seasons. And the reason is QB Kirk Cousins and his resurgent form. The resurgent Cousins has led them to a great start this season.

But what exactly changed for the QB, who has been with the Vikings for the last four seasons too?

What changed for Kirk Cousins?

Former football player Ron Johnson broke down the changed environment that Kirk Cousins finds himself in under coach Kevin O’Donnell at Minnesota. He said on the Pat McAfee Show that it was about Kirk having a coach teaching him to trust the receivers and the process. And that he is more fun now, matching the vibes of his teammates.

They lost the next game against the Philadelphia Eagles but have a five-game win streak.

QB Kirk Cousins has been at the center of the Vikings’ success. He has thrown 1734 yards passing this season. Cousins has thrown eleven touchdown passes. The opposing defenses have intercepted just five of his passes, averaging less than one a game. A banger of a season so far.

Minnesota sits at the top of the NFC North divisional table, ahead of the usual suspects, the Packers. They next meet Cousins’ old team, the Washington Commanders in game week nine. Will Cousins and the Vikings continue to steamroll the opponents?
