Hold on to your seats, folks, because Russell Wilson has been dishing out some juicy details about his relationship with Ciara! The superstar quarterback went candid about his partnership with the chart-topping singer. Especially after her latest single, ‘Da Girls’. The Grammy award-winning singer’s latest song has been making quite the buzz on radio charts. 

Wilson himself has been devoted to the relationship and to raising the three kids that the star-studded couple share. However, the content of his wife’s song might have made Russell Wilson question a few things about the two’s relationship.  From playful jokes to heartfelt declarations of love, he spoke his truth about Ciara.

The conversation began when Ciara released her new song “Da Girls,” which includes lyrics about female empowerment and independence. The song’s viral hook, “This is for da girls who don’t need no man…this is for da girls that’s i-n-d-e-p-e-n-d-e-n-t”, caused quite a stir as fans tried to decode any subliminal message behind the songs. 

But in a truly heartwarming video that the couple shared, Wilson spoke about his true love for Ciara. When Wilson first heard the track, he jokingly responded to her, saying, “Whatcha say, you don’t need no man?” However, he quickly followed up by saying, “You don’t need me, you don’t need me, you’d be just aight without me. But I need you.”

The moment, which Ciara caught on camera, was a real moment of blunt honesty from the future face of the Broncos franchise.

Although Wilson and the Broncos had a seriously disappointing season, with a bevy of roster moves in the offseason, they should be ready to go for the coming football season. For the Broncos, they would like to give their star acquisition from last season one more chance. Russell Wilson ended up amongst the worst QBs in the league last season.

However, having fired HC Nathaniel Hackett, Wilson, and the Broncos will be looking to make amends for last season’s disappointments. Wilson showed signs of his old self at the end of the regular season after the team sacked Hackett.

The Broncos would hope that it was a sign of things to come for the team’s future. But having signed Jarrett Stidham as the backup QB, the Broncos are certainly ready to make any and all moves necessary for their team’s success. Even if it means sidelining their star asset, Russell Wilson.
