Things have been heated at the Chicago Bears training camp, and Simone Biles’ husband has been caught in the friction. Wide receiver Rome Odunze found himself helmetless after a fierce exchange with a defender. Moments later, Tyler Scott delivered a crushing block on safety Jaquan Brisker, igniting another confrontation that stopped practice in its tracks. The clash ended only when teammates pulled them apart, and it did not stop there.
The tension did not cool off in the trenches either. Left tackle Braxton Jones and defensive end Austin Booker went at it, battling for position. The exchange dragged on longer than the rest, with defensive tackle Gervon Dexter Sr. stepping in before it was over, dropping Booker to the ground to finish the longest skirmish of that day. But perhaps the fiercest of them all was when Jonathan Owens and running back Roschon Johnson clashed. So, does that land Simone Biles’s husband in some trouble?

What happened between Jonathan Owens and Roschon Johnson?
The two bears came face to face when Owens delivered a late peanut punch on Johnson, attempting to strip the ball. For those of you who don’t know, the term Peanut Punch in football refers to a defensive technique where a player deliberately punches at the football with a closed fist to try to force a fumble from the ball carrier. Well, the running back did not like it.

His immediate response was to throw the ball at Owens. This led to a lot of shoving between the two before Johnson took Owens to the turf. Within moments, teammates and coaches swarmed in, pulling them apart before things could go further south. While there weren’t any reports about the aftermath for Owens, Johnson was spotted running up and down the sideline after the scuffle. After the practice, Johnson did talk to the media about what happened.

“That’s just camp, football. High tempers flare, getting competitive, that’s all it was,” he explained. “Like I said, it’s football. When you compete at a high level, stuff like that is bound to happen.” But for now, there have been no reports of any action against any of them, which means Simone Biles’ husband is safe and sound, practicing for the upcoming season. Owens enters his second season with the Bears after spending his first four NFL years with the Texans and a fifth with the Packers.
