Jordan Chiles and Ezra Sosa just delivered a dance routine that lit up the scoreboard with some near-perfect numbers! Their practice sessions at six in the morning, and of course, the late-night sessions as well, paid off, ensuring a massive improvement from last week’s performance in which the pair received only 10 out of 20 points after they danced to Beyonce’s ‘Break My Soul’, incorporating Salsa in their choreography. But this time, it was all so different.

Dancing with the Stars took to X and shared, “Jordan Chiles and Ezra Sosa dancing like never before with that Jive! 🤩” And the scores? Carrie Ann gave them an 8, Derek Hough scored 7, and Bruno Tonioli scored the duo 7. This made their total score 22 out of 30. It was indeed the highest score for the second week, with a few performances still left.
Chiles and Sosa danced to Michael Sembello’s ‘Maniac’. And just like the Olympian stated in her interview the previous night, she ‘cheesed it up’. Her gymnastics floor routines further aided in her crackling performance that greatly impressed the judges. According to Tonioli, the Olympic gold medalist and her partner “came back stronger than ever.” It was proof that the duo had incorporated the criticism they received in week 1.

Well, Chiles wasn’t the only one to receive the highest score (22/30) this week. Jen Affleck, Robert Irwin, and Whitney Leavitt also scored the same points. However, Baron Davis and Corey Feldman had to leave the stage via elimination. This left Jordan Chiles as the only remaining athlete on Dancing with the Stars season 34.

But we can still expect Chiles to continue rising from the ashes. And it’s all because of her attitude towards criticism.
Jordan Chiles gets honest about her DWTS week 1 scores
While the majority of the internet world stood against the judges for scoring Chiles a bit too low for her week 1 performance, the artistic gymnast took it all in a different light. The judges scored 10/20 in the last week because they couldn’t really distinguish Salsa from Sosa and Chiles’ performance. But the Olympian was ready to execute the suggestions from the judges. She simply refused to believe that she deserved higher scores.
Chiles stated, “No, I don’t think so. I feel like a lot of it is very understandable. You know, it’s the first time. I wasn’t expecting, I wasn’t even expecting those scores. I thought they were going to be lower myself… I mean, as an athlete, there is a difference to competing, you know, in a ballroom. Like, you don’t know what’s going to happen. But I honestly, I’m going to take what they were saying. I don’t want to say they were critical. They were just judging. That’s just judging.”

Nevertheless, the “chaotic” regime seemed to work wonders for Jordan Chiles and Ezra Sosa. Her enthusiasm and eagerness to grow splashed throughout the week on social media. And ultimately, she managed to climb to the top of the list in the second week of DWTS season 34. In order to celebrate, she even ordered some pizza. Sharing her victory meal on IG Stories, she stated, “Onto the next round and got my pizza!!!” But what did you think of the performance?
