Staying busy seems to be the jam for Simone Biles. After winning her 11th Olympic medal and wrapping up her stance at the 2024 Paris Olympics, she toured the American soil with the Gold Over America Tour. Of course, it was an attempt at recovery, too. But her activities kept on appearing in the headlines, even though she stepped back from competitions. Joining the Religion of Sports board, filming Netflix docuseries, and vacations kept the fans’ entropy high. And now, the queen of flips has hinted at some exciting projects and vacations coming up soon.
During a conversation with The Olympics Podcast on 7th August 2025, Biles blamed her apparent ADHD for forcing her to work even on vacations and stay busy all the time. But what are the projects she’s currently engaged in? The star gymnast’s voice had a different kind of energy as she replied, “I’m working very closely with Friends of the Children, Make a Wish Foundation, Athleta… We’re always trying to up our game. So, that’s super exciting.”
But with her current projects came a glimpse of the future. The 11-time Olympic medalist revealed, “We’re trying to enter the fashion industry and beauty industry. Some of the things I can’t talk about, but they are in the works, and it’s gonna be really exciting. But yeah. There’s always a project to be made, even if that’s just like the post-Olympic tour, or trying to have involvement in the 2028 Olympics. So yeah, that’s kind of like what’s on the horizon.”

Remember back in 2020, when Biles expressed her unrest regarding the beauty standards in gymnastics? She acknowledged the growing competition that had nothing to do with the gymnasts’ on-stage performance. Instead, it was aligned with beauty. But that didn’t stop Biles from standing out. She stood strong in her stance and defined beauty in her own terms. Of course, in the end, during a conversation with Teen Vogue, she admitted, “I’ve realized it really doesn’t matter what you look like. It’s about who you are and how you compete.” And that didn’t stop her from flaunting her fashion and beauty sense through her vacation photos on social media.
Now, The Olympics Podcast interviewer asked Simone Biles about her post-2024 Olympic vacations. As if waiting to talk about her escapades, the Olympian answered, “Oh my God, okay… So, I went to Belize, I went to Bahamas, I went to BVI. Oh, it’s all the Bs!” But there were more travel stories in Biles’ passport. She continued, “And then the other ones are work, but I do save a couple of days, especially from traveling overseas, like Hong Kong and Madrid, just so I get to explore. So, I guess those are mini work vacations. So, quite a few. And still a couple more work vacations coming up.”

As of now, it’s become pretty clear that Biles loves to travel. But there’s one more thing that the U.S. Gymnastics star loves beyond the world of athletics. And that was reflected during one of her post-2024 Olympics tours sponsored by Athleta.

Simone Biles wants to be something more than a pro-gymnast
The tours after the Olympic Games were primarily intended to serve as an active recovery for the athletes. These are usually all fun and without competition. And one of these active recovery performances happened to be hosted by Brooklyn’s Barclays Center. Simone Biles was usually the main character as her fellow athletes supported her with swirls, twirls, and flips. And following that came a note from Biles regarding the sparkly navy athleisure fits.

Have an interesting take?
Biles stated, “Leotards were always our only way to express our style, but now it goes beyond that. A lot of us [pro gymnasts] are doing speaking engagements, Fashion Weeks, talk shows, all of the things—we don’t always just want to be known as athletes. So we are getting to showcase our style off the mat, and it’s been really exciting.”
Now that the 28-year-old is wandering around the periphery of retirement, we can actually imagine her rocking the world with her fashion and beauty trendsetters. And it won’t be hard with an IG fan following of more than 12.3M. But what do you think? Should Simone Biles move on and pursue a career in the fashion and beauty industry?
