Then came her MET appearance with husband Jonathan Owens. Soon after, Washington University in St. Louis awarded her an honorary doctorate, recognizing her impact on the sport. And now, she has reserved time for a break!

A reel went up on Simone Biles’ Instagram story on June 21, 2025, that hints at the possibility of a new tourist destination for someone. Captioned, “The only aisle I’m looking forward to this summer ✈️🤣“, the reel featured the inside of an airplane dancing and celebrating. She often visits Belize, where her mom is from, calling it her second home. After the final five run in the Rio Olympics, Biles told ABC News that they’ll go on a couple of vacations. “We all want to go to Belize together, and then after that, we’ll probably do family vacations,” she said. For now, she might not be at the Olympics anymore, but she has not left travel behind.

During this break, Biles and Owens finally celebrated their delayed honeymoon in South Africa, two years after tying the knot.

They encountered giraffes, elephants, leopards, and a male lion. The couple explored Cape Town.
