There has always been more to Sha’Carri Richardson; she’s not just fast-she’s bold and fast. At the 2023 U.S. Track and Field Championships, she removed her signature orange wig, revealing her natural braids, and declared, “I’m not back, I’m better.” Moments later, she clinched the title with a time of 10.82 seconds. But to call her only a track and field star would be an understatement. She is also a successful entrepreneur.
Back in the last month of 2024, one of her Instagram posts said, “Launch after launch, I’m excited, and I KNOW YALL BEEN WAITING. Welcoming @flow_gohair to the world stay tuned for the official launch!” This was to announce her luxury hair extension brand, Flow&Go Hair, which was launched into the market in the first month of 2025. Now, an athlete and businesswoman of her capabilities would need someone to expand with brand marketing deals globally. Well, guess what?
Sha’Carri Richardson has signed with Wasserman, the very same brand that is in a deal with former basketball player Diana Taurasi. The sports, music, and entertainment company will represent the U.S. sprint star as she expands with brand marketing deals in the U.S. and internationally. “I’m excited to welcome Lindsay alongside Ashley, Emanuel, and so many others who have been instrumental in helping me build this foundation. The groundwork is in place—now it’s time to take over the world,” Richardson said in her statement.

Ashley Blackwood is her manager and publicist, while Emanuel Hudson, her agent. Wasserman also took to their Instagram to announce the deal. In a video posted by the brand, the camera was seen focusing on the Wasserman logo imprinted on a sipper. Soon, the sipper is pulled by none other than the Olympian. But the one thing that had everybody looking was, once again, the hand that gripped the water bottle. The reason? Because Sha’Carri was once again slaying with her nails.

Even her eyelashes, pin their perfect curve, were a fashion statement behind the long and gracefully painted nails. During the 2024 Paris Olympics, Richardson showcased a set of red, white, and blue nails adorned with American flag motifs and dazzling patterns, aligning with the patriotic theme of the event. She explained that her manicures are “based on what mood I’m in” and serve as a form of self-expression.

From track star to business mogul, is Sha'Carri redefining what it means to be an athlete?

From Diana Taurasi to Sha’Carri Richardson, Wasserman has a huge list
Diana Taurasi, widely regarded as one of the greatest basketball players of all time, has been a cornerstone of Wasserman’s roster. With a career spanning over two decades, Taurasi has amassed numerous accolades, including three WNBA championships, six Olympic gold medals, and being the all-time leading scorer in WNBA history. Her partnership with Wasserman has been instrumental in elevating her brand, securing endorsement deals with major companies like Nike, BodyArmor, and Coca-Cola. Under Wasserman’s guidance, Taurasi secured the first women’s basketball contract exceeding $1.5 million.
Wasserman’s basketball division extends far beyond one legend. In the NBA, Derrick Rose remains with Wasserman, continuing his partnership with the agency. In the WNBA, Wasserman also represented Candace Parker and Sylvia Fowles, leveraging the agency’s resources for their professional endeavors. Other than this, Russell Westbrook ended his 14-year relationship with agent Thad Foucher in July 2022, citing “irreconcilable differences“. James Harden also parted ways with Wasserman’s Jason Ranne and Chafie Fields in August 2021, choosing to represent himself with the assistance of his longtime friend, Lorenzo McCloud.

Shai Gilgeous-Alexander followed suit in February 2025, ending his partnership with Thad Foucher and Joe Smith to represent himself for on-court matters, while retaining Simon Gebrelul of ISLA Management for off-court ventures. Wasserman represents several high-profile North American soccer players as well. Matt Turner, a standout goalkeeper who made a high-profile move to Arsenal, set the record for the largest MLS goalkeeper transfer in history. Jesus Ferreira, a key player for FC Dallas, made history as the first MLS Homegrown player to sign a Designated Player contract. Olivia Moultrie, who became the first-ever U18 NWSL professional woman, continues to break barriers.
Lindsey Horan, known for being the first female player to turn professional straight out of high school, is another star under Wasserman’s representation. While things have been on gray ground for many athletes, while for some it has been magnificent, how do you think the future would pan out for Sha’Carri Richardson?
