On Sunday, September 21, 2025, the One Direction singer went below three hours and clocked a personal best time of 2:59:13 at the Berlin Marathon. In the first half of the marathon, Styles clocked in at 1:29:08 and ended the second half in 1:30:06. Donning a blue top, black shorts, and a pair of pink sneakers, the 3x Grammy award-winning musician maintained a pace of 6:50 per mile. It’s a good pace for a Grammy award-winning artist.

Significantly, the Berlin Marathon is where runners tend to set world records. After all, it’s one of the seven Abbott World Marathon Majors’ flattest courses. Hence, the athletes get to deliver their fastest paces. Meanwhile, it offers the runners a view of some of Berlin’s historic landmarks, including the Reichstag, Victory Column, Potsdamer Platz, and the Brandenburg Gate. But even though Styles wasn’t in the top three, he got the better of 20000 contestants, which remains a stunning feat. Moreover, the fans knew it was time to praise the musician for his achievement.

The famed YouTuber and author Connor Franta was one of the first to post about Harry Styles’ achievement on X. He stated, “Harry Styles running a 2:59 marathon is beyond impressive. I don’t think most people actually understand how hard that is.” And that’s true! Running 26.2 miles in just under three hours is a feat that most fail to achieve.

Meanwhile, a few fans reflected on Styles’ improvements. Comparing his performance at the Tokyo Marathon, one fan commented, “What a leap after running 3:24 at Tokyo earlier this year. Still has a ways to go to catch Alan Turing but he is building an argument for Best Celebrity Marathoner.” Meanwhile, another fan credited the singer’s inclination towards fresh experiences. The comment read, “I’ve always loved and admired Harry’s fearlessness in trying new things as well as his drive, hard work, focus and discipline to achieve his personal goals. Well done, Harry. 🥇”
