“One Great Experience for Our Coaches” – Tennis Club Honored to Have Novak Djokovic Practice on Their Courts

With the 2021 Roland Garros just a month away, Novak Djokovic is preparing for the Grand Slam in full swing. Recently, he arrived in Sarajevo, the capital city of Bosnia, to train at the Gem tennis club in the Safet Zajko Center.
Along with his team, Djokovic will stay in Sarajevo until Friday this week. During his stay, the Serbian will also visit the Bosnian Pyramids in Visoko, a place he has visited twice in the past.

For the Gem tennis club, it’s been a matter of great honor to host the 18-time Grand Slam champion. The 11 coaches at the club witnessed Djokovic’s training session and also got the opportunity to interact with his coach, Marian Vajda.
In a statement, the club expressed gratitude towards Djokovic for choosing their training facilities. They also mentioned the valuable experience gained by the club’s coaches during their educative sessions with Djokovic’s team.

“One great experience for our coaches and excellent education and additional knowledge that we will use for the training processes of our competitors. Of course, we are honored that Novak Djokovic chose our club as the place where he will train, but we are certainly honored that the future world tennis star Brendon Nakashima is also there,” said TK Gem.
In fact, Djokovic also trained with the American Brendon Nakashima, currently ranked No.135 in the world, who was also present at the Safet Zajko Center.

Last month, the World No. 1 began his European clay season campaign at the Monte Carlo Open, where he lost in the third round. Subsequently, he entered the Serbia Open but suffered a defeat in the semifinals at the hands of Aslan Karatsev.
After having withdrawn from the ongoing Madrid Open, Djokovic will next compete at Rome Masters as the defending champion.
