American tennis player Venus Williams has been on cloud nine lately. After the premiere of King Richard, she has been ecstatic with the response the film has been receiving. The story of the movie is based on the life of her father, Richard Williams. The movie reveals the struggles the great man had to overcome in order to make his daughters succeed.

King Richard will hit the theatres on the 19th of November, 2021.

Recently, Venus Williams spoke about a scene in the movie. In that scene, she explains how Serena was desperate to climb up the levels of the professional tennis.

The 41-year-old player stated, “That story shows Serena entering her first junior tournament. So I got to play junior just for a year and finally Serena was tired of waiting and she wanted to play too. When you see that moment, that moment is true… I don’t wanna give you too many spoilers, I’ll give you some more next week.”

Venus Williams is busy attending screenings
Williams has attended two premiers till now of this movie. The movie stars Hollywood legend, Will Smith. He is playing the character of Richard Williams. The movie also pays respect to their mother Oracene Price, who was instrumental in shaping their careers.

Coming to tennis, Venus competed in Melbourne this year but ended up losing in the second round. In the French Open and the Wimbledon Championships, she exited in the initial rounds as well.
