While he continues to enjoy his time there, a shocking report emerged that the veteran snubbed a move to the Saudi Arabian side, Al Ittihad.

Despite being offered a chance to reunite with former PSG teammate Lionel Messi, the defender decided to stay in Europe.

While life in Spain is decent so far, reports suggest he had a chance to play in Saudi Arabia.

According to Saudi Arabian journalist Ahmed Ragab, Ramos garnered huge interest from Al Ittihad. This is because the defender wanted to play in Europe. Notably, if he had accepted the lucrative offer, then he would have reunited with his former Real Madrid teammate, Karim Benzema. The 2021 Ballon d’Or winner moved to Al Ittihad this year.

Additionally, Ramos would have also been reunited with Cristiano Ronaldo in the Saudi Pro League. Be that as it may, it is quite an interesting revelation from the renowned journalist. Earlier, it was claimed he was close to joining the Al-Numoor side. However, it seems the player’s heart was set in Europe, as he was keen to play at the highest level.

Notably, this isn’t the first reunion that Ramos rejected. Earlier, he even had a chance to share the locker room with his former PSG teammate, Lionel Messi.
