Manchester United legend Wayne Rooney is currently being trolled across the internet by soccer fans. These actions have been spurred by Birmingham City’s recent decision to terminate Wayne Rooney’s contract. Just two months ago, in October, the 38-year-old was appointed as the head coach of the Championship side with high hopes for success. Regrettably, his tenure turned out to be a disaster.
Under Rooney’s leadership, Birmingham City only managed to secure victory in 2 out of their 15 Championship matches. This significant decline in performance has seen them slide from a promotion play-off spot to now battling relegation at the 20th position in the table. This string of disappointments has ultimately led to his departure after a mere 13 weeks.
