Rather, it was a reply to the news of Jurgen Klopp‘s future exit. The duo has been dominating the English Premier League for close to a decade and Guardiola will miss his most challenging rival. As a result, the Spaniard is hopeful of realizing his dream of having dinner with the German tactician soon and goes on to reveal information that not even Klopp has ever admitted!

Jurgen Klopp’s future departure news came as a surprise considering that he had a contract running until 2026. Besides Guardiola, the likes of Pochettino & Unai Emery also showered praise on the German as he now heads into the final months at Anfield.

While speaking to the media, Guardiola expressed his thoughts on the news bomb that was dropped yesterday. The Spaniard said, “He (Jurgen Klopp) will be missed. It was a shock like everyone. I felt when I heard the news that a part of Man City will lose something because we cannot define our period here together without him.” He also reserved the highest praise for Klopp’s soccer philosophy by saying, “He has been our biggest rival and personally the best rival I have had in my life.” Guardiola also saw the witty side.
