Sadio Mane and Fabinho might be playing for two different Saudi clubs. However, amid the rivalry, there is no friendship lost between them. Sadio Mane scored two goals for the Knights of Najd in a sensational win. However, in the post-match interview, the Senegal star sympathized with his ex-Liverpool teammate. He said, “I am very sad that my friend Fabinho was sent off in the match.”

The Brazilian midfielder was bestowed the role of playing a center-back due to injury issues at the club. He had received a yellow card for a strong tackle in the 60th minute. It did not take long to make matters worse. Fabinho’s tackle in his box on Otavio saw the referee giving a penalty. Along with that, the referee also gave him the marching orders. Cristiano Ronaldo converted the penalty to make it 3-2. After that moment, Al Ittihad could not recover from the card. It led to Sadio Mane scoring two goals to add to the Tigers’ misery in front of their fans.
