Just like Steven Gerrard was for the Reds, Warren Zaire Emery is an academy product and has been quite connected to PSG’s senior team. Perhaps this could be the main reason why the President is hopeful of securing his long-term future. Also, the teenager comes across as quite humble in interviews and coach Luis Enrique had previously attributed this to high education & schooling.
With 2 goals and 2 assists in 14 matches, the Frenchman is capable of deciding a game. Yet, his influence goes much beyond numbers and it is his intelligence that has made him central to Luis Enrique’s plans.

Referred to as a ‘diamond‘ by Luis Enrique, Warren Zaire Emery shares a lot of characteristics with Yaya Toure. His powerful ball-carrying and blend of physical and technical attributes are reminiscent of the former Man City veteran. Yet, his game understanding is second to none as he identifies space on the pitch and can get the ball there via a pass or a dribble.
As per his coach, Warren Zaire Emery’s biggest qualities are his positioning and humility. Yet, there are still things to improve, as he is not an elite passer yet. However, Luis Enrique described him as easy to coach, and the Frenchman will inevitably emerge as one of the best midfielders in the world soon.
