The investment of Angel City FC by Alexis Ohanian is eye-opening to the soccer fraternity. The husband of legendary tennis player Serena Williams is a prominent advocate for women’s sports. Soccer and other sports clearly have a great pool of talent. Therefore, Ohanian invested in the National Women’s Soccer League club with the help of USWNT star Alex Morgan. In fact, he shared the tweet thread between the two back in 2019, recently.

Ohanian shared screenshots of his tweets that led to the investment. As it resurfaced online, Alexis took the time to showcase the conversation with Morgan that finally turned into a crucial move for women’s soccer.

Most of it focused on the equal pay campaign by Megan Rapinoe and other USWNT members. Despite being more successful than the USMNT, there were various pay discrepancies between the men’s and women’s teams. Thereafter, Alexis stated the pointers in those tweets boosting women’s sports and the eye-opening talent pool.
