Who is the greatest soccer player of all time? This question has become an endless debate and has offered a myriad of answers. But just when we thought we had heard it all, another sports legend jumped onto the bandwagon to share his own sentiments. Tyson Fury recently added his voice to the chorus by proclaiming Cristiano Ronaldo as the greatest soccer star ever to grace the beautiful game.

Meanwhile, this declaration comes after Ronaldo’s long-term arch-nemesis, Lionel Messi, is on the brink of being crowned as the winner of the 2023 Ballon d’Or.

Amid the ongoing ‘Battle of the Baddest’ in Saudi Arabia, Ronaldo recently met a host of renowned boxers. Just days ago, he developed a surprising friendship with Francis Ngannou and gifted the boxer a $117,000 piece. Subsequently, the Al Nassr star was hailed by Ngannou in a recent interview. Now, he was praised by another boxer, none other than Tyson Fury.

The Portuguese star recently met with Fury during the event, and while meeting, the British boxer had some heartfelt words for Ronaldo. In a clip shared by Turki Alalshikh, chairman of Saudi Arabia’s General Entertainment Authority (GEA), Fury and Ronaldo were sitting on a couch. Then, the boxer said, “Cristiano, you’re the greatest footballer who’s ever lived, and I mean that. I am a big fan. I watched all of the football. When you were at United the first time, second time, and all of Real Madrid.”

Additionally, Ronaldo asked if he’d ever been to the stadium. To which Fury replied, “I come to the stadium, but I get very much tortured when I go there. It’s just like, boom. So it’s very difficult for me.” Notably, Fury is set to fight Ronaldo’s friend, Ngannou. Given Fury’s recent remarks, Ronaldo must be in a dilemma about whom to support.

Nevertheless, this is some heartfelt praise from the heavyweight boxer. Certainly, it must have brought a smile to Ronaldo’s face. However, he won’t be happy to hear about his arch-rival’s Ballon d’Or crowning.
